One Red Army soldier, actually he mentioned to have been a pharmacist of his unit, surrendered to Finnish Army in Ilomantsi, northwest from Lake Ladoga, early August 1944. He was totally drunkened when captured. Perhaps he was indeed a pharmacist.

Two Red Army soldiers, a Cossack and an Uzbek surrendered to Finnish Army in Ihantala, 7th of July 1944. They found Finnish artillery fire horrific and wanted to save their life (at least for a while).
