Red Army soldiers in happy times... Not clear (lack of caption) whether they are elated they could depart to the front and fight for their homeland, or - happy to go home... In the majority of combat scenes the Soviet soldiers are seen without wearing a helmet, probably on account of steel shortage... On this photo, their uniform as well as their helmets are spic-and-span... All seem to be close in age - makes one wonder if this is a staged photo. - The answer may lie in the eyes of the beholder.
