The first prototype DB-LK, designer Belyaeva,on an  airfield near Moscow in 1940. Dvuhfyuzelyazhny bomber, four crew members who were placed in pairs in two cabins: in the left fuselage - a pilot and a gunner ,in the right - navigator and gunner.

Soviet flight armourers prepare  a5-ton  bomb (FAB-5000)to fit to the suspension of a  Pe-8 bomber(in background).This type of bomb was first used during a nightraid on April 28, 1943 - on Konigsberg.
