Originally PS-84, the Li-2 was manifactured under licence for USSR. It was many ways simmilar to DC-3, except for the Soviet M-62IR engines (a development of the M-25, a licensed copy of the Wright Cyclone). Some models had bomb racks and a turret for defence. Li-2, like L2D, had additional windows behind the cockpit. Passenger door was unlike in C-47, on the right side. Over 6000 were made.
