A shock to the Germans was the apperance of Russian women in the battlefield fighting alongside the men.

this is from the same event as the other two. This took place in Keiv. I'm not sure why they were being hung. I would like to know the story behind this tragic event.

This poor animals were attached with magnetic mines in the back, starved and trained to look for food below tanks, this tactic was used widely in the first 2 years of the russian campaign and caused quite a few casualties amongst the panzers. Very much doubt the dogs consider us to be their best friends!!!
