Commander of Romanian Third Army on its campaign against the Soviet Union in the southwest. Was an excellent general.

General Petre Dumitrescu.

He served as Minister of Defence in 1938, and General Officer Commanding 4th Army, Odessa in 1941. He retired in 1941, but was captured and put in prison in 1948. On May 25th, 1950, he died in Jilava prison.
