Soldier from the First Kościuszko Division

Another female soldier from Kościuszko Division. In Sielce, in the Soviet Union, they were all trained in one separate battalion named after Emilia Plater, and they were usually known as ‘Platerówki’. Emilia Plater was a Polish historic person with some patriotic achievements. On the ground of her biography, Adam Mickiewicz, Polish poet, created a heroine and a myth.
