Colonel Łukasz Ciepliński

In September 1939 he was serving in the 62nd Infantry Regiment; decorated with Virtuti Military for destroying 6 German tanks. His other decorations: Bravery on Battlefield Cross and Order of White Eagle (this one 56 years after his death). During German occupation in underground forces. After ‘liberation’ arrested, tortured, sentenced to 5 death penalties plus 30 years. Executed in 1951.
