The battle for Vilnius was prepared by the Poles in details and they managed to take over the city.The whole action was hailed: "Burza wileńska" which means "Vilnius's storm".The soldiers of the AK did they best but hen were arrested u the same Soviets.The Poles fought for their city,took it over and lost it only because the Soviets got the order to remove them.
