Polish Forces
In the picture, colonel August Emil Fieldorf. His pseudonym was "NIL".1939 he was the commander of the 51st Kresowy Infantry Regiment of Marksmen. He took part in the battle for Iłża on 8-9 IX 1939.His regiment was destroyed by the German panzer battalion during the battle....but corporal Fieldorf didn't give up and managed to gather some group of the survivors, went through the German postitions and retreated behind the Wisła river.
...in a month Poland collapsed.
Under the occupation he was the general of the Polish Home Army-AK(Armia Krajowa). He was the head of the KEDYW-the Management of Diversion of the AK
...he was responsible for the most important Polish actions against the Germans under the occupation. He signed the agrement to kill the commander of SS and Polizei in Warsaw Franz Kutschera. He was killed by the AK in February 1944.
General NIL was called by the Germans:
the most dangerous Pole under the occupation
Unfortuanately,he was murdered by the communists in 1953.Now,he's a Polish national hero.
....this upload is my salute to him as I was a soldier from reconstruction just in the 51st Infantry Regiment ,which in 1939 was commanded by August Emil Fieldorf.
