It had 33 000 policemen.In 1939 after the mobilisation it was made up by 60 000 policemen armored with rifles and MG similar to those that were used by the army.After the fall of Poland,it served under the German orders.

Polish State Police

on 30 VII 1941 the Polish Supreme Commander gen.Władysław Sikorski and the Soviet diplomat Ivan Majski signed the agreement to ctreate the Polish Army in the USSR.The first Division was one of several divisions created by the Soviets from the Polish Citizens in the USSR(usually displaced persons sent to Siberia and the POW from 1939 in the Soviet captivity).

In 1939 the Polish State Police took part in the defence of Poland.Especially are known its action during the seige of Warsaw....and the so-called "bloody Sunday",in other words "Bromberger Blutsonntag".
