They are from the 1st Infantry Division "Tadeusz Kościuszko" (it was a "bussiness card" of the 1st Polish Army-elite,well-trained,with a good equipment,)The Russians wanted this division to take part in a battle for Barlin as it had high spirits and a typcal infantryman presented better skills than the rest.
