Sgt D S Sidhu

Sgt D S Sidhu,from India, had joined No 75 Sqn (New Zealand). His Short Stirling bomber, W7513 crashed into the sea near Vesternæs, Danish coast ,on the night of 28 - 29 April 1943 ( approximately at 00.35 hours) while on a mine laying mission (Op Gardening) in the Radish area (Fehmarn Belt off Kiel Bay). The aircraft had taken of from its New Market base, England . There were no witnesses, aircraft possibly shot down in the area, and the plane with the crew disappeared without a trace.The entire crew of seven is presumed dead. Sgt Sidhu was the Navigator of the plane.
