Tankers of the 6th South African Armored Division clean their guns, North Africa, ?1941-'42.  At this stage, the South Africans were somewhat "on the hind tit" when it came to allocation of equipment.  Hence, the photo includes US M3 - both "Lee" and "Grant" variants, a British Cruiser, and an M4 Sherman.  The South Africans do not seem to have found this sort of thing too confusing - they fought with distinction through North Africa, and subsequently in Italy.  Best regards, JR.
