Vickers 6-Ton Commercial Tanks were also purchased by Portugal - a (very) long-time ally of Britain, but one that would (for its own reasons, profitable and otherwise) declined to join its old ally in WW2 (it had, in fact, joined in for WW1).  The near tank appears to be labeled "Republica", the far one "Portu[guesa?].  Best regards, JR.

Vickers 6-Ton Commercial Tank of the Royal Siamese (Thai) Army on manoeuvres in Thailand, mid-1930s.  The Thais used these tanks against the Chinese in the Indo-China War of 1939.  The Chinese probably used similar tanks at the same time, in the same war.  Best regards, JR.

Himmler inspects Norwegian SS-volunteers. 

6000 Norwegians was accepted into the Waffen-SS, and 900 of them fell on the Eastern Front. They fought in many different SS-Divisions, but most notably in the Wiking Division. 

After the war the veterans was punished by the Norwegian Socialist government and given harsh terms. Some veterans also lost their Norwegian citizenship and was forced to flee the country.
