Squad of Cetnici with their skull flag photographed by Italian troops during antiguerrilla operations against Titoist partisans. The Cetnici of Gen. Mihailovic, nationalist and monarchist Serbian partisans, after a period of fight against the Axis invaders, thought that the communism of Tito was a worst menace for the future of Yugoslavia as they looked at it. Anyway, in the complex scenario of the WW2 in the Balkans, the relationships of the Cetnici with the German command was not so good as it was with the Italian command. In a first time Mihailovic had the support of Churchill, before the Allies decided to prefer Tito to him (and to the Yugoslavian royal family). DVX
