A for Arabs. In fact it was composed by Arab (but also Asian, or Italian Arab or Asian languages speaking or people of Italian origin born in Middle East or in Asia) volounteers coming from outside Italian colonies. The flag and the collar patches shew a look-like Palestinian flag.
The unit was well trained like a special assault force battalion (with arditi and paratroopers coys), and reached a top strenght of about 550 men, not all foreign, especially among officers and ncos. Note at the top right ofe the photo the Grat Muftì of Jerusalem. DVX

Assault Battalion A

Ufficially known as Battaglione d'assalto I (Assault battalion I), I for Indians. It was composed by Indian volounteers joining the Chandra Bose's Free India organization. Almost all were former prisoners of war. The uniforms were Italian but the flag, as you can see here, and the collar patches shew the Free India colors. DVX

"Amza Hindustan" battalion

Indian ncos of the Battaglione d'assalto I during a pro-enlisting speech directed to Indian prisoners of war. Note they're armed with Beretta MAB 38s.
The battalion instructors were Italian officers and NCOs speaking English, sometimes that had lived in India. There was a Free India political commissar and consulent: Mohamed Iqbal Sheday. It was formed by: 
4 fusiliers platoons 
3 machineguns platoons 
1 parachters platoon (55 men, sent to Tarquinia for training) for a total of over 400 men.
