Martin Marauder II of No 25 Squadron, 254 Wing, South African Air Force, in action on Banja Luka, Yugoslavia (today Bosnia Erzegovina), against German army of occupation. At this time the 254 Wing SAAF was based at Campomarino Airdrome in Biferno, Campobasso Province, Italy. The No 25 Squadron, which used also Pomigliano d’Arco airfield, Naples, was converted Marauder IIIs on 20 November 1944 and, as part of the Balkan Air Force, flew tactical bombing missions in support of Tito partisans in Yugoslavia.
