Schweizerische Flugwaffe’s Bf 109E-3, fuselage code J-350 (J for Jäger/Fighter aircraft), with the colors and the identification markings adopted on early Summer 1940 by the Schweizer Flieger-und Fliegerabwehrtruppen’s Command: large red band over the fuselage affecting also upper and the bottom surface of the same fuselage with the Helvetic white cross; smaller fuselage code (in this case J-350); rudder completely covered by the Helvetic Confederation’s national flag (all red with white cross); bottom wing national emblems (not visible in this picture) inside a large red band. The overall finish is the same applied directly in Germany before the delivery from the aircraft code J-341 until the last (the Swiss Bf 109E was coded from J-311 to J-390): upper surfaces RLM 70, bottom surfaces RLM 65. This colors, used also for the Bf 109D of the first Swiss command (ten D-1), was in effect until half-September 1944 when was adopted the Neutrality bands. Victor Sierra
