Other Forces
Ethiopian boy soldier poses with his rifle, wearing a captured Italian officer's cap, Second Italo-Abyssian War, 1935. Ethiopian rulers were not overly inclined to refuse any offer of help received, then or in earlier conflicts. It was not lack of fighting spirit, but of modern equipment, training and organisation that contributed to the defeat of the Ethiopian armies by the Italian invaders in this war. Best regards, JR.
