Athens, Greece: Photo taken in December 1944 in Athens, during the World War II of communist partisans being arrested. British troops entered Athens 14 October 1944, two months before the civil war began in Greece.The civil war was only an argument between the Soviet Union (communists) and USA and Britain (republicans).These three countries were fighting for supremacy through the Greeks. The Americans gave weapons to republican and Soviet railroad the communists to fight. The civil war of Greece caused more damage psychologically to the greeks than the Germans and that lasts till today
