Another image from the May, 1939 photoshoot, depicting Legion Condor and Francoist Moroccan soldiers.  Franco's "Moors" were perhaps his fiercest fighters.  Their loyalty seems to have been more personal than "nationalistic".  It lay with Franco (and, perhaps, his old patron, Milan Astray), coming out of their comradeship in Spain's North African wars.  Nazi dogma notwithstanding, I suspect that they and their German colleagues got on pretty well ... Best regards, JR.
