Charles Mackey stands by the "Yankee Warrior" B 25D Medium Range Bomber which was known as "Ellen E and Son" during World War II. The aircraft flew combat missions over Corsica,Sicily,and Italy. Here on August 10,2013 Charles will take a flight from the Kalamazoo Airport to over Lake Michigan and back.

Everyday I spent some time searching for warphotos.Tonight this photo made a deep impression on me.It's in fact a Vietnam war photo but I wanted to share it in here because in my view it could be of any war ever fought.This young man's face and eyes say it all,war is hell.
I hope he and his wounded friend made it home.

This aircraft flew combat missions over Corsica,Sicily,and Italy. It also was turned over to the British and Canadian Royal Air Forces and used as a Trainer. Arnold flew in this plane from the Kalamazoo Airport to over Lake Michigan and back.
