Charles Mackey (L) and Arnold Mackey (R) stand by to go on a flight from the Kalamazoo Airport to Lake Michigan and back on the "Yankee Warrior" B 25D. This Mediom Range Bomber that was called the "Ellen E and Son" during World War II flew combat missions over Corsica,Sicily,and Italy. At various times,the British and Canadian Royal Air Forces used the plane as a Trainer Aircraft. The Yankee War Museum eventually got the plane and renamed it the "Yankee Warrior". The flight cost each of the brothers $400 each!

Arnold Mackey standing by the "Ellen E and Son B 25D American Medium Range Bomber on August 10,2013 which goes by the name of the "Yankee Warrior". This aircraft flew combat missions over Corsica,Sicily,and Italy. It also was turned over to the British and Canadian Royal Air Forces and used as a Trainer. Arnold flew in this plane from the Kalamazoo Airport to over Lake Michigan and back.

Tuesday night in the center of Hannover,9000 people were evacuated after builders found a 500kg American WW2 bomb.It took the deminers 6 hours before the bomb could be made safe.If they hadn't succeded ,the bomb would have been detonated on site.Luckily this time Hannover escaped total chaos.
