Over the last few weeks, strong winds hindered the work of the RAF Museum team from lifting the Dornier above water. The aircraft rested on the Goodwin-sandbank in 15 meters of water. The whole expedition lasted 3 years ,studying, preparing and finally lifting.Over the next 2 years the Do17 will be restored. From records is known that the aircraft was probably shot down on 26th of august 1940 during the Battle of England. greetz, brummbar
