The L.E. (Long Eirinneach) Gráinne, a WW2 "Flower" Class corvette, in service with the Irish Naval Service.  Incredibly, this 'photo was taken in 1975, shortly before this example of a never-very-wonderful (but nevertheless important) class of naval vessel finally rusted into history.  Best regards, JR.

Zygmont and Longin Zbucki were searching for their brother's grave since 28 of april 1945.Wladyslaw Zbucki fought in the Oekrain as member of the Polish Community forces at the side of the Red Army against the German Army.Wladyslaw was killed fighting in Austria and was buried
in the village of Loipersdorf-Kitzladen.He lies at rest in a part of the cemetery reserved for Soviet soldiers.
The search for the grave took 67 years because on the lists with KIA Soviet soldiers in Austria his name was misspelled,Zbuki instead od Zbucki.

The Macchi MC.202 “Folgore” captured by the US Armed Forces and switched to USA, showed at Freeman Airfield, Indiana, September 1945, together with two other famous “war birds”: the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M Zero and the British Vickers Supermarine Spitfire. After its arrival in USA the Italian fighter was showed a Wright Field on 23 March 1944 and afterwards transferred to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for repairs. With the USA registration FE-300 and afterwards FE-498 and false and not correct Italian emblems and markings, the “Folgore” was exhibit at Freeman Field and on August 1946, as T2-498, was stowed at Park Ridge. On 1975 the Italian plane was completely restored by the Washington U.S. National Air and Space Museum with the livery of the 4th Stormo’s 90th Squadriglia (code 90-4) of the Italian Regia Aeronautica.
