Without a doubt one of if not the best pieces I have. I bought from a man who lived in Latvia and claimed to have gotten it from the "Courland Pocket" battlefield area. It's definitely seen better...well its definitely seen some days. Pretty amazing is that it still has the liner and everything.  There aren't any markings or symbols so I can't tell if the man who had this was German, Latvian Legion etc etc.

I do know the area it was found in witnessed the surrender  of some troops from Army Group North though.

From East to West

A little piece of history I found while on vacation, the man who owned it said it was from Stalingrad. I wish I more proof of that (not that I simply don't believe him) anyways it's a neat piece. Unfortunately I'm sure there are many more of these, aswell as Soviet still lying around the battlefield.

German Belt Buckle

Recent 'photo of the  Daimler-built Schupo Sonderwagen.  This example is in the collection of the German Armour Museum, Munster.  Note the wide wheels but narrow, solid rubber tyres; two spare tyres are carried on the vehicle's right-hand side.  I have not managed to establish any further provenance for this particular armoured car - but it is most certainly an extremely rare survivor of its type.  Best regards, JR.
