This an autograph on the navigators table on the Commerative Air Forces B-29 Superfortress.  The navigator on the B-29 Enola Gay that was on the a-bomb mission to Hiroshima, Japan signed it a few years ago.  He is the last surviving member of the orignal crew of the Enola Gay.

In 1942 a winter trigger (Winterabzug) was developed for the K98 in order for the soldier to keep his gloves on during extreme cold weather. The winter trigger was standard issue for the German sniper. Immediately after developing the winter trigger for the K98 a version for the MP38 and 40 was developed. The design was almost the same but it could not be exchanged. The wintertrigger was an oval sheet-metal box of which one side could be removed. By pressing a small external trigger connected to a lever the "real" trigger was pushed. The winter trigger was made by Allweiler A.G.,Gotthard, Pumpenfabrik, Radolfzell a/Bodensee. The code was "ezd". As far as I know there are no winter triggers (for the mp40) with different production codes. Apart from the code there is also stamped "MP" which off course stands for Machinenpistole.

In 2007 a batch of winter triggers was found in Finland. They came out of a barn which was put on fire by the germans in order to destroy the military stock. These were offered at e-bay. The winter trigger is a very rare item these days.

A German court finally concluded that Ariber Heim,Dr.Death,died in Egypt in 1992 aged 78.
Heim worked as an SS doctor at Mauthausen concentration camp where he was known as Dr.Death.In oktober and november 1941 he alledgedly injected jewish inmates with a variety of poisons directly in the heart just to see how quick 'patients' would die.He also is supposed to have done unneccesary operations ,killing the patients in a horrible way,even removing organs without anesthetics.
After the war he was able to continue a doctors practice untill in the 1960ties accusations against him were made and he dissapeared.An international arrest  order was given but Heim wasn't tracked down.
According to the Court in Baden-Baden,Heim converted to the Islam in 1980 and changed his name to Tarek Hussein Farid.He would live in Cairo until his death.
According to documents from Heim is appears that in 1963 he emigrated to Cairo under his second name Ferdinand.The Court concluded that from the recieved documents,Farid and Heim are the same person.
The German TV-ZDF and the New York Times already  reported in 1992 that Heim had died from intestinal cancer after chemo and radiation had failed.
His son Rüdiger affirmed to ZDF -TV that his father had lived in Cairo for years.
