RAF Lancaster bomber drops 55,000 poppies over London in connection with the dedication of the new Bomber Command Memorial, London, 28 June, 2012.  Each poppy commemorates one of the 55,000 Bomber Command aircrew killed on duty in the course of WW2.  JR.
