In 1944,the then 23 year old part Belgian/part African nurse Augusta Chiwy took care of many wounded US soldiers during the Battle of the Bulge.
The charter reads:Nurse Chiwy,voluntary,put her live at risk to save the live of US soldiers.She did this with the utmost dedication.Her courage and self-sacrifice are unique examples of human commitment.

Nurse Chiwy recieved the Medal of Humanitarian Civil Merit from the US Ministry of Defense.
