One of the leading Heer tank aces, Otto Carius, photographed in his pharmacy, "Apotheke Tiger", in the German Rhineland, December 2010.  I saw a most instructive film interview given by him just a few years ago - a highly intelligent gentleman, professional in all his pursuits.  My own favourite tank ace, I must admit ... Max Wunsche retained much of his good looks well into later life.  He died on 17 April, 1995, aged 80.  This 'photo was taken at a formal function, possibly of the Knight's Cross Association.  Wunsche is wearing the Knight's Cross with Oakleaves.  Best regards, JR.
