The "Commemorative Medal for the Defence of Slovakia" was a Slovakian decoration honouring military personell which was involved in the "Slovak-Hungarian War" or "Little War" lasting from March 23, 1939 to April 4th, 1939. It was instituted on May 8th 1939. It was later also awarded to military personell taking part in the Poland Campaign.

Commemorative Medal for the Defence of Slovakia

A bust of Marshall Rodion Malinovsky in Brno in the Czech Republic. Marshall Malinovsky's last action in Europe during WW2 was the capture of Brno from the Germans. There he met advancing US forces.
