Tom Sakamoto, recipient of the Bronze Star, who worked for the victory of his country of birth (USA) as a translator and translator/trainer) in the Japanese language, in the US Army. He can hardly have been encouraged in his vital service to his country by the fact that his family was interned and deported to camps far from their homes on foot of a Presidential Order of February, 1942 but - like many other Japanese/American servicemen whose families were similarly detained - he did his duty, anyway. With very greatest respect, JR.
