Captured Monster

This is a color picture of Adam, one of the "Karl" heavy mortars. They were named Adam, Eva, Odin, Ziu, Thor, Loki, and Fernrir. The last three were 540 mm caliber weapons and thus classified as "Geraet 540". The Karls were powered by a 12 cylinder Mercedes-Benz diesel and had a maximum speed of 10 km/h.
