The veteran's meeting on Mamayev Kurgan 1965 - in the foreground is the sniper Anatoly Chekhov. Everyone thought he died in the war,but news that he was still alive was spread all over the USSR,School bands in Volgograd competed to wear his name in honor. Anatoly passed away the same year,right after this photo was taken
