Heinz Günther Guderian

Bundeswehr General Heinz Günther Guderian (1914-2004), son of the famous German Panzer troops leader Colonel General (Generaloberst) Heinz Guderian. In WW2 Guderian jr. served as first staff officer ("1a") of the 116th Panzer-Division, he was awarded the Knight's Cross on October 5, 1944. His final rank was Lieutenant Colonel. In the modern German Bundeswehr he made it General and inspector of the tank troops. He died 2004 in Bonn-Bad Godesberg/West Germany.
