Modern/Post-War Photos
Tank Museum, Bovington.
This strange 'photo was taken in the course of the restoration of the "Bovington Tiger". It is of the inside of the Tiger's 88mm AT gun. The uneven pattern of "shadow" indicates that, although this was a "young" early model Tiger I, significant wear had already occurred to the gun's interior, simply through use. Does anybody else In Here have any views as to the degree to which "shot out" guns were a problem on Tigers ? Best regards, JR.
