ThunderboltFan, I found a WWII American on Google. The liner has a strap that holds it to the helmet. PartlyPolak was right that mine is not a WWII helmet but if you compare the two you can see that they aren't all that different. Does anyone know the value of a complete WWII American helmet?

KOP units were located on Eastern Polish border with the USSR.On 17 IX 1939 they were the first hindrance for the Soviets who invaded Poland hand in hand with Hitler.It was like a knife in the back.Most of the KOP soldiers died in Katyń massacre in 1940, so only a few survive WW2.
 
 
Until 1939, KOP was believed to be the best Polish formation of all.Elite,honourable and definitely loyal.
