Sadao Yamanaka (right) was a Japanese film director and writer who directed 24 films during a seven-year period in the 1930s, Yamanaka was drafted into the Imperial Japanese Army in 1937 and died of dysentary in Manchuria 1938, officer saburo sato (left) survived the war and died in 1978
