Type 97 Tankettes in Burma

These tankettes were of the 3rd Company of the 2nd Recon Regiment at Bhamo. When the Regiment retreated from Bhamo in Dec. 1944, they were abondonned and captured by the Allies. The turret mark on the near tankette is "Senpu" (Whirlwind) and one on the back is "Shikishima" (place name in Japan). They are personal insignia of the vehicle.(rudeerude)
