Concealed under the trees a Fiat G.55 “Centauro” Subseries 0 of the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana-ANR’s Squadriglia Complementare “Montefusco” (“Montefusco” Complementary Flight) waiting for a scramble on the border of a Northern Italy airfield, 1944. At beginning, January 1944, based on Venaria Reale, near Turin, in May 1944 the “Montefusco” was redeployed at Reggio Emilia and later in June of the same year was incorporated in the 1st Gruppo Caccia.
