The commander of NP battalion (NP meaning Nuotatori - Paracadutisti, swimmers - paratroopers) Nino Buttazzoni, with the unit flag, during a speech to the troop. 
The NP battalion was a special unit of the Regia Marina. After the armistice was rebuilt in La Spezia under the command of Buttazzoni and joined the Xa MAS. DVX
