This gun outpassed of 5 Km the range of the famous French 155 mm gun GPF, and of some dozens of meters the famous American 155 mm Long Tom. It had a normal cadence of fire of 1 shot per minute, and the possibility of a high cadence of 2 shots per minute. The Long Tom had a max of 40 shots per hour... One group of 149/40s on 3 batteries was sent in nortehrn Africa, and 2 groups in Russia. DVX
