Fiat CR 32 was the tip of arrow for Nationalist Fighter forces in Spain war, and it achieved great success against enemy fighters in this campaign. 
Nevertheless, only a few years later it was outclassed by new monoplane fighters, as well as his development, the CR 42. Anyway, when CR32 had to face the aircrafts of his generation, like Wellesleys, Furys, Vildebeest and even a bit newers like Gladiators, in Eastern Africa or in North Africa the first months of war, it still showed to be a valid war machine.
