Hungarian Forces
Fortepan
NCO from the RHAF gaze upon the countryside atop his Italian-built Reggiane Re.2000 fighter plane (the nickname of the plane was Héja, hawk in Hungarian). Its registration number can't be seen, but it's probably V.436. The plane has a factory-painted "Italian-pattern" camouflage. The picture was taken between 1941 april and 1942 march, which is indicated by the wedge-shaped national insignia and the 70 cm-wide yellow fuselage band, which were the distinctive markings of Hungarian planes at the time.
