The Bücker company's first production type, the Bü 131A was the last biplane built in Germany, used mainly as a trainer in many European countries, including Hungary. It had two open cockpits in tandem and fixed landing gear. It first flew with a 80 hp Hirth motor, followed by the Bü 131B with a 105 hp Hirth engine. A total of more than 4000 planes were produced in various European factories.
