Fairly frequent interaction took place among German and Hungarian pilots during the war, both for the sake of sharing information as well as for maintaining staff morale. Here Hungarian fighter ace Debrődy chats with two German Luftwaffe colleagues.

István (Stephen) Fábián, in the course of a total of one hundred missions, first he flew Fiat CR-42 biplane fighters and later more modern Reggiane 2000 Héja fighter planes. But most of his 17 total kills were accomplished in Messerschmidt Bf-109's, both on the Russian front and in Hungary. He was the first Royal Hungarian Air Force pilot to receive the German Iron Cross first class decoration.
