Dr. Petrassy was sent to the Don front as a field surgeon serving with the Second Army. Standing in front of a troop train, the good doctor is being bid farewell, probably in the presence of his wife, from the city of Miskolc in the summer of 1942. Dr. Petrassy managed to survive the war, returned to medical practice in Hungary, just to be generally hassled by the Communist regime.
