After the collapse of the Polish army in 1939, many Polish soldiers and civilians escaped to Romania and Hungary. Here the driver of a Polish tankette is welcomed by a Hungarian soldier up in the Carpathian mountains. After the proproper international steps taken by their host, most of the Polish soldiers continued toward Allied countries.
