Princess Elizabeth (future Queen of Great Britain, Elizabeth II) is about to change the wheel or tire of an Austin Tilly car. In February 1945, Elizabeth joined the Women's Auxiliary Territorial Service (WATS) and was trained as an ambulance driver.
